Why Train with Harris?
Training Modules
Module 1: Introduction to Gas Equipment and Industry Fundamentals
This training session has been specifically developed for employees who are new to the gas industry or have limited prior knowledge of gas equipment and applications. The focus of this module is to build a strong foundational understanding of our product range, its operation, and key industry requirements.
Throughout the session, participants will be introduced to the core principles behind our equipment, including how regulators control and manage gas flow. Detailed visual aids, including photographs and diagrams of internal component assemblies, are used to provide clear insight into how products function in real-world applications.
To enhance the learning experience, the trainer will provide a selection of physical products and components for participants to inspect and handle. This hands-on approach helps reinforce theoretical concepts and promotes greater product familiarity and confidence.
In addition to product knowledge, the session covers important industry-related information, including:
- Equipment replacement and service intervals
- Relevant flashback arrestor standards and safety requirements
- Manufacturer warranty periods and product support information
- General best practices for the safe use and maintenance of gas equipment
This module is ideal for onboarding new employees, developing product confidence, and ensuring staff have a solid understanding of industry fundamentals.
Module 2: Advanced Product Knowledge and Technical Applications
Module 2 is designed for experienced industry personnel who are seeking a refresher or for participants who have successfully completed Module 1 and would like to further expand their technical knowledge.
This session provides a more comprehensive and technical examination of our product range, focusing on product performance, specifications, application suitability, and the engineering principles behind the equipment. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how our products operate in various environments and applications, enabling them to provide more informed recommendations and technical support.
Topics covered may include:
- Detailed product specifications and performance characteristics
- Technical features and design considerations
- Product selection and application guidance
- Troubleshooting and operational insights
- Industry standards and compliance considerations
Module 2 can be delivered as a standalone advanced training session or combined with Module 1 to create a full-day training program. While combining both modules provides a comprehensive learning experience, consideration should be given to information retention due to the volume of content covered.
Live Product Demonstration
To further enhance the training experience, a live product demonstration can be arranged on the same day as the training session. This practical component allows participants to see our regulators, torches, and associated equipment operating in real-world conditions, helping to bridge the gap between theory and practical application.
The demonstration provides staff with an opportunity to:
- Observe product performance firsthand
- Gain a better understanding of equipment operation and safety features
- Ask questions in a practical, interactive environment
- Build confidence in the use and application of our products
Where demonstrations are conducted at your premises, we ask that suitable gases and a safe, designated work area are provided. All demonstrations will be carried out in accordance with applicable safety requirements and best practice guidelines.
