316LSi Stainless Steel TIG (GTAW) Welding Alloy



• 1.6mm x 914mm x 4.5kg/10lb box

• Stainless steel 316LSi TIG welding rod welds low carbon molybdenum-bearing austenitic alloys

• Lower carbon content (0.03% maximum) resists carbide precipitation that can cause weld corrosion

• Higher 0.65-1.00% silicon content improves the wetting and washing behavior of the weld metal, yielding a smoother bead in the gas-shielded welding process

• 88,000 psi tensile strength (as welded)

• 58,000 psi yield strength (as welded)

• 37% elongation (as welded);68% reduction of area (as welded)

• 85 HRB Rockwell B hardness (as welded)

• 160 HB Brinell hardness (as welded)

• 95 ft./lb. @ room temperature Charpy V (as welded)
