5356 Aluminum GTAW (TIG) Welding Alloy
• 3.2 mm x 914mm in a 1.36 kg pop tube
• Designed for welding non-heat treatable base alloys, specifically 5XXX series alloys
• Welds 5XXX series alloys when 40,000 psi tensile strength is not required
• Very good general purpose wie
• Most widely used aluminum welding alloy
• Common applications are welding of boats/ships, bicycles, trucks, pressure vessels and automotive parts
• 39,000 psi tensile strength (as welded on base plate of 5086)
• White color (post anodized)
• All position welding rod, except vertical down
• Embossed with model number on each end for easy identification after use
